This person will be responsible for supporting the lead consultant in organizing and completing tasks that allows focus on more advanced responsibilities. Duties in this role include organizing meetings for Administrators, schedule virtual meetings, composing documents on behalf of Administrators Etc.
- Answer phone
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings
- Collate and distribute mail
- Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
- Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents
- Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Manage accounts and perform bookkeeping
Credentialing Specialist - Contract
MVP consulting LLC is looking for an individual in the role of Credentialing Specialists. This person will be responsible for ensuring that medical staff members' maintain current credentials and licenses to work legally in their field or specialty. The individual will monitor upcoming renewal dates and work with behavioral health staff to advise them of the required steps to maintain their credentials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain individual provider files to include up to date information needed to complete the required governmental and commercial payer credentialing applications
- Maintain internal provider grid to ensure all information is accurate and logins are available
- Update each provider’s CAQH database file timely according to the schedule published by CMS
- Apply for and renew annually all provider licenses; Professional, Liability Insurance
- Complete credentialing applications to add providers to commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid
- Complete re-credentialing applications for commercial payers
- Credential new providers and re-credential current providers
- Maintain accurate provider profiles on CAQH databases
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of provider credentialing and its direct impact on the practice’s revenue cycle
- Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, and Internet use
- Detail oriented with above average organizational skills
- Plans and prioritizes to meet deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills; communicates clearly and effectively
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years credentialing experience preferred
- 2 years experience in a medical practice business office role required
